June 25th 2019 The 15th SIBA Golf Event K-Club Palmer Course Co Kildare
April 23rd 2019 The 31st SIBA AGM is scheduled for 1730 at the Swiss Embassy.
January 16th 2019 – SIBA annual luncheon was hosted by Trinity College Dublin
with Guest Speaker Dr Will Barton, O.B.E, Chairman IMR (see www.imr.ie)

Looking back 2018
September 16th – The SIBA Golf team were winners of The European Chamber Golf championship at the K-Club where the SIBA four ball competed with nine other teams.
June 29th 201 8- SIBA Golf event – Switzerland V Ireland The K-Club.
The BJ Fitzpatrick Trophy was presented in person by Mr John Fitzpatrick to the winning captain at the K-Club on June 29th as Ireland chased three in a row. Switzerland need to rally in 2019 and catch Ireland who have lifted the trophy eight times with Switzerland a five times winner.

Thirty four golfers and guests enjoyed the prize giving dinner at the Deacon Room K-Club.
May 2018- Trade Missions to Zurich/Basel and Geneva:
Enterprise Ireland ran another successful Trade Visit in IOT and Pharma to Zurich and Basel. The group also arranged a visit to Geneva in advanced Learning. Visits to Novartis, ETH Zurich, Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics, and presentation by Genedata, ABB, Schindler proved to be most informative over a three day period. SIBA were represented by Frank Murray, Chair and Frank was thanked by Mr Eddie Goodwin Directir EI Dussseldorf and His Excellency Ambassador Breifne O ‘Reilly for SIBA’s interest in collaboration between Ireland and Switzerland at a dinner hosted by the Basel authorities.
Looking back to 2017 – SIBA luncheon – Guest Speaker – Julie Sinnamon CEO Enterprise Ireland – Venue Trinity College Dublin- Fifty-five members and guests attended the event with honoured guest Ambassador Meylan and Provost of Trinity College Dr Patrick Prendergast. The theme was Swiss-Irish Relations, Brexit and EI strategy.
March 1st/2nd 2017 – Enterprise-Ireland & Swiss Hub Trade Mission to Lausanne/Geneva

January 2017 SIBA Trade Stand at largest manufacturing conference in Ireland in City West Dublin
The Trade show was attended by Frank Murray, John Whelan and Peter Sheridan to promote the SIBA brand.
The AGM of SIBA was held on January 10th at 1830hrs at the Swiss Embassy as the Organisation heads into it’s thirty first year since it’s foundation. Mr Frank Murray Managing Partner of The Linkage-Partnership and Chairman of Piercom Limited was elected SIBA Chairman.
Ms Catherine Grennell-Whyte was honoured with a life-long membership of SIBA for her services to SIBA. A new committee was elected for 2017 and planning is beginning for 2017 with Golf and speaking events scheduled.
Looking back on 2016/2015 events
Innovate Limerick in association with HED-SO Fribourg presented the 3rd International Cluster Conferen held outside of Switzerland for the first time in Limerick, Ireland. Key International speakers, from a range of disciplines such as Dr. Christian Ketels of Harvard Business School, explored this year’s conference theme of “Clusters as Driver of Competitiveness: Development Issues”. In September 2015 the Basel Symphony Orchestra under its distinguished American Music Director Dennis Russell Davies and with pianist Alice Sarah Ott performed at the National Concert Hall Dublin. Click here for further information or here to link to the National Concert Hall homepage.
